The Associate Manager Brand – Development possesses a deep understanding of the consumer and a strong command of assigned business(es). This role works collaboratively with the brand team and business partners to translate insights into business and brand building plans and execution. Strong project leadership, critical thinking and communication skills are necessary for success in this position. The Associate Manager Brand – Development is responsible for coordinating and leading key initiatives from start to finish across many business functions.

Job Description

The Associate Manager Brand – Development will have a strong analytical foundation and in-depth knowledge of P&L interdependencies to identify and evaluate key business issues and drivers. The Associate Manager Brand – Development will analyze and interpret market data to take advantage of opportunities and minimize adverse trends. Uses an evidence-based approach to define 3-5 year growth strategies for assigned business(es), leveraging demand science, growth pockets and Jobs to be Done (JTBD). Designs distinct solutions that addresses a relevant consumer job or struggle. Project integrator responsible for leading cross functional teams to drive business growth. Guides brand development projects from idea to execution through the stage gate process. The Associate Manager Brand – Development will be required to work closely with their Management counterpart to ensure a clear vision for the future of the assigned business(es).

Position Responsibilities

+ Leads a variety of cross-functional teams for the business in order to deliver your strategies and short and long-term goals. Leverages data driven demand signals to generate business growth opportunities

+ Demonstrates an understanding of company asset base for innovation.

+ Supports the Strat Plan Cycle.

+ Leads brand restage opportunities.

+ Develops margin accretive innovation pipeline for the customer. Leads innovation initiatives, line extensions, and innovation sizing.

+ Supports shopper marketing initiatives.

+ Assesses the competitive landscape and translates implications to the business.

Position Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 3 years of work / intern experience in brand marketing or related field. Background in Consumer Goods (CPG) strongly preferred

+ MBA Degree preferred

+ Experience identifying, building and delivering growth initiatives in the fast-moving consumer packaged goods industry.

+ Proven ability to deliver initiatives that have been realized and contributed significant gains in the capture of market share, revenue and volume growth, and operational efficiencies.

+ Demonstrated success anticipating future business opportunities or problems and developing strategies that address them proactively.

+ In-depth understanding of the competitive landscape with the ability to translate the implications to the business.

+ Has successfully worked in matrix environments or Center of Excellence business models and can demonstrate aptitude for building productive, cross-functional teams that drive to specific medium- and long-range goals.
