Job Description

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Analyst/Manager/Director to join our professional services team in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely filing of complex federal, state, and local income tax returns, reviewing tax returns and tax projections, and facilitating IRS and state income tax audits.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the accurate and timely filing of complex federal, state, and local income tax returns

- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly estimated tax projections

- Manage the administration and calculation of Pass-Through Entity taxes, including reviewing partner allocations, set-up, and tracking of payments

- Collaborate with Finance and Tax leadership in developing and implementing strategic tax planning for federal and state taxes

- Manage and facilitate IRS and state income tax audits including preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.

- Develop and review the Firm’s tax trial balance to ensure accuracy

- Liaise with outside tax consultants on various tax studies

- Assist with documentation and implementation of policies and process improvements

- Use your skills in ‘3M’, ‘ADP – Financial Services’, ‘CCH Sales Tax’, ‘Compliance software’, ‘CorpTax Software’, ‘Accounting Functions’, ‘Auditing’, ‘Compliance’, ‘Income Tax Accounting’, ‘IRS’ to accomplish these tasks. Requirements – Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a tax analyst/manager/director role within the professional services industry

- Proven proficiency in 3M, ADP – Financial Services, and CCH Sales Tax

- Demonstrated experience with compliance software and CorpTax Software

- Deep understanding of accounting functions and auditing processes

- Strong knowledge of compliance and income tax accounting

- Experience dealing with IRS-related issues

- Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is preferred

- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
