Job Title: Crane Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Crane Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will assemble structural forms such as crane components, cranes, jib cranes, and structures. You will perform electrical assembly/wiring for overhead cranes, test cranes, and repair hoists. Your responsibilities will also include wiring new cranes in the fabrication process, assembling 3-phase and Single-phase electric hoists, and configuring pneumatic hoists. You will also assemble and wire control boxes, work with PLC’s, and troubleshoot. Furthermore, you’ll be expected to assemble and test electric and pneumatic chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists, and push/geared/motorized trolleys per customer’s specifications. Your role will also involve assembling and testing crane system electrical components including bridge control boxes, crane wiring, end truck motors, and assemblies. You will operate various handheld pneumatic and electric power tools and other machinery, including drills, drivers, riveters, impact wrenches, nut runners, saws, and grinders.

Hard Skills

+ Knowledge of VFD’s – Variable Frequency Drives

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Eureka, Illinois.

Work Environment

You will be working in a large scale manufacturing environment, specifically manufacturing large jib cranes. This is a first shift position and you will be one of the 60-70 employees in our facility, spread across multiple buildings. You’ll work closely with a smaller team to achieve your goals.
