Job Description

Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Contract & Pricing Manager in the Lab division! This position will be based out of our Northfield, IL headquarters and will offer a hybrid model of work.

  • Identify project opportunities, manage the team's project portfolio, and prioritize work to maximize value generation and performance toward division and department objectives. Oversee major projects, present critical analyses to senior management, and recommend business strategies that drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Manage contract process by communicating any contract changes from manufacturers to sales team - this includes weekly, monthly, and ad hoc email communications.
  • Research, implement and monitor contract implementation and manufacturer price updates. Ensure the accuracy of pricing contracts, including updates and revisions. Ensure the contract and eligibility information is communicated properly to the Medline sales and contracts team.
  • Advise Medline product managers and sales on pricing procedures, troubleshoot pricing issues and recommend pricing solutions where needed. Perform regularly scheduled maintenance audits for various pricing considerations to ensure a high level of pricing accuracy. Manage pricing requests from initiation through completion and communicate results accordingly.
  • Organize, plan and recommend analysis and reports consistent with continuous improvement processes and procedures. Streamline processes to improve efficiency and address questions and concerns in a timely manner. Elevate issues to upper management as necessary.
  • Collaborate with division and sales leaders to define success metrics, understand relevant goals, and develop measurement solutions as they relate to pricing analytics. Work with corporate and division IT and BI professionals to vet tools, data sources, standards, and methods.
  • Coach, mentor and train team, creating and maintaining a motivated workforce, both domestic and overseas. Provide guidance, foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.



Education

  • Bachelor's Degree


Relevant Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of contract or pricing experience.

Additional:

  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using basic functions, inserting charts, Pivot Tables, nested formulas).

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Work Experience

  • Healthcare or pharma industry contract or pricing experience.
  • Medical supplies industry experience.


Additional

  • Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
  • Experience in SAP and/or Vistex.
  • Process improvement experience
