Job Description SummaryThe Finance Manager oversees the accounting function supporting the Project Management service line for a Cushman & Wakefield Global Occupier Services (GOS) account. This position will lead a 3-person team consisting of an Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Payable Specialists supporting office and retail projects. Primary responsibilities include processing $250M of annual payments to General Contractors, Architectural & Engineering and single trade suppliers on behalf of 1,500 projects annually. Key functions include, but not limited to, leading, and reviewing twice weekly Funding Requests, allocating management fees, completing system and bank reconciliations, maintaining a payment tracker and processing Tenant Improvement Allowance requests, refunds, journals and performing ad-hoc financial analysis.
Job Description

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience
* Graduate work or CPA certification preferred.
* 3-5 years of commercial real estate finance and accounting experience, preferably supporting project management activities.
* Prior management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of project management activities including project budgeting, forecasting and General Contractor and Non-GC invoicing and payment application requirements
* Exposure to Yardi and accounting software Enterprise 1 (E1) is beneficial.
* Candidate must have the capability to manage, coach and counsel a team of financial professionals in the performance of their duties and identified goals and objectives.
* Must be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, and client representatives.
* Energetic and strategic thinker with an enquiring mind and a commercial approach
* Good communicator (written and verbal), with high quality report writing skills.
* Ability to multi-task and maintain progress on multiple projects and processes.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Act as a trusted financial advisor to Project Management leadership, execution, and operations teams
* Cash management activities including client funding requests and supplier payments.
* Prepare bank reconciliations and assist in reporting for financial review checklists.
* Manage financial components of Tenant Improvement Allowance (TIA) packages.
* Ensure high standards of financial control are maintained and that appropriate systems and internal controls are adhered to, reviewed, and validated to achieve SOC 1 compliance.
* Lead, develop and manage workload of accounting team members.
* Own and maintain the team payment tracker ensuring issues are identified, raised, and resolved efficiently.
* Lead resolution of system issues/reporting identified through client reports, processes, and reconciliations.
* Liaise daily with Financial Project Management team, communicating issues, best practice and supporting Project management overall team deliverables.
* Contribute to strategic initiatives related to project accounting and/or client capitalization policy.
* Identifies and implement best practices to enhance and improve operational efficiencies.
* Role reports into the Senior Finance Manager for the PDS Project Management Finance function

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $93,500.00 - $110,000.00
