Job Description
Avant LLC. seeks a Data Management Sr. Analyst in Chicago, IL.
Modeling new data sets that can be incorporated into the data warehouse. Performing exploratory analysis in Jupyter and Looker to support ETL development and QA. Overseeing the data governance and change management process for key metrics. Creation and maintenance of ETL pipelines, including but not limited to: requirement gathering, logic implementation, data validation, documentation. Maintaining and expanding the data model, providing the business users with the data they need while meeting agreed upon standards and best practices. Addressing business users requests for assistance in data access via structured channels. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve data processes and procedures to increase data accessibility and reliability. Telecommuting is permitted.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or related fields plus 2 years of experience. Also requires 1 year of experience in the following:
- Data Modelling
- At least one Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tooling (Looker or Tableau)
- Use of Business Intelligence software, including building dashboards or similar.
- Data Analysis with Python and SQL
- Data Cataloging and Governance
- Analysis and interpretation of large data sets using at least one of the following tools: SQL, Python, or R data visualization
- Code review
- Working in an Agile environment
