Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Service Department Intern will be assigned to various duties in the Service Department that interacts, participates and assists the effective operation of the shop. This is a full-time (Temporary), first shift position/internship.
Pay: $18.00/hr.
Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
Shift Premium: Any work performed/hours worked Monday - Friday, 5:00 p.m. - 5:59 a.m. and/or any hours worked on weekends (Saturday/Sunday) will be paid a shift differential of 15% of your base wage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of shop
Cleaning responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning bays, emptying garbage, etc
Deliver parts as quickly and efficiently as possible to shop technicians
Responsible for the overall cleanliness of shop
Pull trucks into and out of the shop as directed by the Service Advisor(s)
Must desire the opportunity to learn the business and grow within the business
Must treat customers in a diplomatic and courteous manner
Other duties as assigned to support and increase technician proficiency / efficiency

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
General mechanical knowledge or aptitude required
Valid driver's license required
CDL required, or ability to obtain
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Ability to drive a forklift

High School or GED (required)

Experience
Currently enrolled in a Diesel Program at a high school, community college, or technical school. (required)

DL (required)
