Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will provide crucial support to the sales manager by conducting product testing at end-user locations, offering technical service support, and performing preventative maintenance related to blade performance. Your role will involve operator training on machine maintenance and operation, and you will serve as a technical service component of the territorial Sales Team, actively building and maintaining business relationships with distributors and end-users. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, minor alignment and calibration of sawing equipment, educating end-users on Band Saw fundamentals, and providing guidance on proper speeds and feeds for optimal blade life. You will work closely with distributors to foster long-term relationships with end-users, continuously enhance your technical knowledge, and share information with other Tech Reps. Additionally, you will perform mechanical preventive maintenance on band sawing machines, conduct cutting tests, coordinate travel and service schedules, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce and Outlook. During office times, you will engage in various projects as directed by management.

Job Type
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Addison, Illinois and some days remote.
Work Environment
The role involves working in various distribution centers and manufacturing facilities, which may be cold, hot, dirty, or clean. The position requires 50% travel and 50% office time, preparing proposals and conducting tests.
