Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services is a global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter who has demonstrated the ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environment. The Investor Services function of Hedge Fund Services is responsible for managing the communication with and activities of fund investors on behalf of our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team servicing a large strategic fund manager.
  • Work directly with key client personnel for onboarding new funds, monitoring monthly/quarterly deliverables and KPIs, collaborating on strategic projects, and resolving client service issues.
  • Serve as a client escalation point for issues, providing direction and judgment calls for internal team while providing necessary client communication to resolve external issue.
  • Provide oversight over the preparation and review for various Investor Services processes such as AML and investor due diligence, capital activity transactions, investor onboarding, and investor reporting.
  • Organize the work of the team, assign tasks, set short-term priorities, monitor all activities and ensure timely and accurate completion of the work.
  • Serve as a client escalation point for issues, providing direction and judgment calls for internal team while providing necessary client communication to resolve external issues.
  • Work closely with technology resources to troubleshoot issues and scope new or desired functionality.
  • Consistently look to streamline and automate the reporting/analytical processes with the use of technology.
  • Assist in building a high-performance team through learning, development, mentoring and recruiting.
  • Conduct performance management and career development processes.

Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience working for either a hedge fund or private equity fund or a financial services administrator with client and investor exposure.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Accounting experience/exposure is helpful.
