Jabil is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to work onsite with our customer, the qualified candidate should be in or around Normal, IL.

 

How will you make an impact? As the Senior Quality Engineer for our client, you will represent the quality function of technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups, regarding issues affecting manufacturing on global customer accounts. Serve as liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers on global quality-related issues.

 

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer.

  • Provide support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.

  • Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.

  • Support all global training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialized training sessions for all applicable functions.

  • Develop appropriate systems for document storage, access, and review pertaining to global customer accounts.

  • Review all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, and coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts.

  • Review all supplier or customer discrepancies. Coordinate and track the corrective/preventative action effort.

  • Establish the map of RMA for the Customer to improve or expedite the reception of parts and make sure they meet the requirements of the FA with the customer.

  • Ensure that new team members know the FA process with proper communication to confirm and provide excellent support.

  • Improve the scorecard and get an agreement with the customer due to delays with information and provide better results on the QBR.

  • Confirm the procedure for RMA between Customer and Jabil.

  • Participate in the vendor survey activities as applicable. Drive proactive participation with suppliers and (when possible) aid in their process improvement efforts.

  • Assist in driving the standardization of manufacturing processes of global customer accounts.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.

 

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering is required, other disciplines can be considered with Quality Engineering Experience.

 

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Quality or Engineering OR equivalent combination...
