The Committee on International Relations (CIR) at the University of Chicago invites applications for a Lecturer to teach four courses in the Master of Arts in International Relations (https://cir.uchicago.edu/). This position will start as early as September 2024 with the possibility of reappointment for an additional two years, contingent upon ongoing curricular need, satisfactory performance review, and budgetary approval.

The Lecturer will teach four courses oriented toward master's students interested in pursuing globally oriented research careers in academia, government, advocacy, and multinational firms. The Lecturer's courses should add substantively to the existing curriculum. Of particular interest are courses on the International Relations of the Global South, the Global Politics of Climate Change, and the Politics of the Middle East and North Africa.

Qualifications

To be eligible, candidates must have a PhD degree in international relations or a related field.
