Job Description
Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Guidewire Test Lead to design and develop the Testing Strategy for all phases of the testing including Sprint testing, System Integration, Regression, Automation and Performance testing for multiple projects on the platform, assess and mature the current testing capabilities and help in integrating with existing CI/CD pipeline. Specific duties include: assist management and vendor Test Leads with assessing Test frameworks/tools, resource planning, estimations and planning; play a key subject matter expert role in the area of software quality assurance testing; remain current with industry trends with testing techniques and methodologies; partner with Zurich testing staff and other strategic testing vendors to provide implementation testing support of technology solutions in an Agile environment; partner with Business Analysts/Business SME’s to help define Integration, User Acceptance and Regression testing strategy/plan; provide day to day direction to the testing teams; participate in daily stand-up/Scrum calls and project status meetings to provide testing status and testing metrics; identify key risk items and dependencies and communicate effectively with cross functional teams and management. May work remote 40 % of the time.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Test Consultant, Consultant, Assistant Systems Engineer, Sr. Quality Engineer, or similar position in software quality assurance and testing. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: leading testing efforts and initiatives for large and complex Guidewire Policy Center implementations for Property and Casualty lines of business; and supporting test design, strategy, planning and execution for large and complex Policy Admin transformation programs. Must also have 4 years of experience with each of the following: integration testing of APIs using Postman, SOAP UI, or other API testing tools; and using JIRA or other Agile Project Management tools. Additionally, specific experience must include working with SOA concepts and testing various integration patterns. May work remote 40 % of the time.
