About The Opportunity
Position Summary
This position involves driving a liquefied gas or battery powered industrial truck equipped with forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment or material in warehouse.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs all duties within assigned area i.e. loading/unloading, shipping, and receiving.
- Monitors department staffing needs and works with supervisor to adjust accordingly.
- Oversees and trains new associates.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that all standard operating procedures (SOP's) are followed.
- Establishes good communication between departments.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Provide back up to Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills & Experience
Work Experience Required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a distribution/warehouse environment
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by schedule
- Good Oral and Written Communication skills to effectively communicate safety rules, special instructions and ability to read/write English to interpret documents
- Must have experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts
- Knowledge of WMS systems (PackManager/SAP) preferred
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at once
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to sudden changes in customer demands or operational goals
- Proficient with a computer/iPad
- Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus
Additional Requirements
Physical Requirements
- Move freely throughout the plant
- Able to stand for 8 or more hours
- Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Manager
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to bend, twist and squat
