Position Summary 
 The University of St. Francis Department of Psychology invites applications for the position of Student Success Coach.

The Student Success Coach shall be responsible for providing academic support to students, offering learning strategies, assist in using on/off campus resources, and designing academic plans that align with student strengths and course expectations. This position is grant-funded and contingent on continuing grant funding. The University of St. Francis is a welcoming community of learners committed to enhancing diversity and equity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 
 Student Assistance
Deliver structured academic assistance to students via weekly one-on-one meetings and other outreach
Provide intensive, one-to-one academic coaching and progress monitoring
Maintain documentation of all appointments, assignments, and student data
Offer study-skills instruction to students
Provide assistance in creative formats, including teleconferencing
Assist students in using on and off campus resources
Assist in the identification and creation of static resources to promote student success, including handouts, tutorials, and video lectures
Collaborate bi-weekly with faculty and staff to promote student success
Maintain familiarity with student coursework
Provide content-area tutoring in Recovery Support Service


General Duties
Participate in and promote a culture of continuing quality improvement
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements 
 Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, Education, or Special Education
Two years of work experience either in a university learning assistance program or teaching/ advising at the secondary or post-secondary level
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; and strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and yet take initiative individually
Computer literate
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
Preferred Requirements 
 Experience with non-traditional student population
English-Spanish bilingual
Understanding of learning disabilities
Teaching experience in higher education, experience with Canvas LMS
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule 
 Full-time; July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
Position duties and responsibilities require adherence to a flexible schedule to accommodate students' schedules.
This position is full-time, grant funded.
Physical Requirements of Position 
 Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
