Emerging Risk Group is seeking candidates for the following position to be ideally based in New York or Chicago, but we will accept remote candidates.

The Emerging Risks Group specializes in connecting risk and strategy for our clients through the deployment of predictive analytics analyzing risk in our clients' value chains. The group is made up of four verticals - Cyber, ESG and Climate, Geopolitical Risk, and Operational Resiliency. Our team members serve as trusted, strategic risk advisors to our clients, working with them to make clear data-driven choices about managing risk to drive growth and enterprise value through delivery of deep industry expertise, rigorous analytical capabilities, and a pragmatic approach to solve our client's most complex business and risk challenges.

  • Experience assessing strategy and making recommendations to clients
  • Show strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
  • Knowledge of or experience in broader operations functions (i.e. HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Commercial Operations, Cybersecurity)
  • Have strong interpersonal skills

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree with a record of outstanding academic achievement
  • 4+ years of relevant consulting or prior experience in a research or business analyst role
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

What makes you stand out?
  • Undergraduate major in in economics, engineering, finance or accounting or an advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA) from a top tier program
  • Experience and comfort in using analytical methods to create project analysis and recommendation support
  • Ability to build Excel, Python and or R operating models

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $84,700 to $180,800.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
