Job Summary
This position is responsible for constructing forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge; performing data research, statistical analysis and building visualizations; working on research projects and performing adhoc data requests; obtaining data from public data sources; identifying issues and outliers with medical data; serving as primary contact and subject matter expert for assigned topics and analytics projects. Documenting findings and research results; developing presentations, presenting to stakeholders. Using data to answer questions about medical programs effectiveness. Supporting existing clinical initiatives in the areas of efficiency and quality of medical care, assisting with project proposal creation and data research.

This position is a Flex (requires 3 days in office)

Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy OR9 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy.
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise, with 3-5 years' experience in the PBM/Pharmacy/Healthcare industry or related experience.
Demonstrated ability to interpret large data sets with the ability to interpret and solve complex problems.
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
Takes initiative to solve complex problems; takes an "outside -in" perspective to identify innovative solutions.
Knowledge of various software development processes, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, and development, agile methodologies, and tools and technologies.
Create and conduct presentations to inform and influence, with the ability to think laterally and creatively.
Proficient with software used for data mining, statistical analysis, and data visualization (SAS, SQL, R, SPSS, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and Microsoft Excel required; strong understanding of database architecture.
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
May lead functional teams or projects.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or Biostatistics.
Proficiency in SQL and at least one high level programming language (any high-level language)
Experience programming in R or Python
Experience presenting results or using BI Tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
Clear and concise communication skills; ability to present results and findings to stakeholders of all levels. Business acumen to assimilate information quickly, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Negotiation, decision making, organizational and analytical skills.
Experience extracting data and working in traditional data warehousing and/or "Big Data" environments and associated tools.
