Job Description

Summary: Responsible for validating data, processing and transmitting incoming and outgoing wire transfers. Process domestic and international wire transfers. Assist in monitoring the main wire correspondent account for adequate end of the funds and borrow for the Discount Window when determined necessary to prevent overdrafts. As a critical function of the Bank, this position works closely with a variety of other functional areas of the organization to ensure that client needs are met. Willingness to work additional hours, as needed.
Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in the validation of wire transfer instructions for loan disbursements based on documentation provided and out-of-band authentication or the approved recipients list.
Validate data, process and transmit incoming and outgoing wire transfers. Perform check back of various forms ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards and procedures.
Process or verify domestic and international wire transfers, monitoring and maintaining funds related to the correspondent account(s).
Assist in monitoring the main wire correspondent account(s) for adequate end of the funds and borrow for the Discount Window when determined necessary to prevent overdrafts.
Coordinate with Accounting on a daily basis for correspondent account(s) funding.
Process recalls and amendments on wire transfers.
Monitor and assess high-risk customers and red flags to management for further review.
Identify and resolve issues within assigned responsibilities and red flags to management for further review.
Review fraud system and take necessary actions to clear or escalate alerts.
Review wires and OFAC hits to determine if flagged entities require further investigation.
Reconcile DDA accounts daily.
Maintain knowledge of applicable Bank policies, procedures and services.
Develop awareness and knowledge of potential fraud and cyber threats in correspondence and workflow processing of critical functions.
Provide excellent customer service to our internal partners and customers.
Maintain familiarity of applicable laws, regulations and general safety and soundness guidelines to ensure compliance.
Maintain electronic operations documentation following compliance standards and record retention guidelines.
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends related to electronic banking.
Assist in creation end-of-month reports for management.

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
One to two years of related office experience.
Familiarity with other bank products, electronic funds transfer methods and computer operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines.
Ability to think critically and use good, sound judgment in decision making.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, co-workers or vendors.
Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing with employees, customers, vendors and management.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Must understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain a friendly, helpful and courteous attitude when working with customers or co-workers under diverse conditions.
Ability to accurately and quickly complete standard mathematical calculations.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to use a calculator, computer and applicable software.
Ability to use Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.
