Job Description

Medline Industries, LP is the leading nationwide supplier of medical, surgical and pharmaceutical products to hospitals, nursing homes, HME providers, surgery centers, physician offices and home care/hospice settings. Due to continued growth, we are in need of a Learning and Development Specialist.The Learning & Development (L&D) team is responsible for working cross-functionally to identify learning gaps in customer experience and solution ways to improve the experience for our employees. As part of the Medline Corporate Learning & Development team, this role will assist the Training Manager in developing and producing classes and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Training Manager in developing and producing classes and programs delivered to all levels of Medline manufacturing and operations employees.
  • Own the implementation of a seamless learner's experience, via scheduling, coordination, and communication of the training calendar. Organize and prepare all participant materials including handouts, case studies, videos, virtual documents/attachments, emails etc.
  • Use LMS to create and maintain courses. Track and maintain training records, reports, and analytics.
  • Draft effective communications regarding training updates and opportunities for the department or service line.
  • Manage the department's training materials and document library by reviewing, proofreading, editing, and formatting documents. Update course materials as needed by partnering with SME's across the company.
  • Assist with training programs effectiveness evaluations via sending surveys to participants, compiling data and producing reporting.
  • Improve, update, and maintain record keeping systems that provides relevant information concerning training content, activities, attendance, training hours and evaluation for L&D team.
  • Support and partner with project teams to develop new training classes.
  • Coordinate in-person training events with field HR team
  • Facilitate training modules as needed.



Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training and Development or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant business experience demonstrating exposure to, or responsibility for, learning & development initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively present information
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action
  • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style
  • Must work well under pressure with proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope/direction
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in use of company's Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or operations environment
  • Experience demonstrating sound organizational skills, project management, instructional design, and LMS administration skills in developing and/or designing learning solutions
