Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Supports, develops, implements and sustains process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Deliver long-term, high impact results. Influences a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Quality Division, engaging employees to improve their processes and overall internal and external customer satisfaction.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support all continuous and process improvement efforts from idea generation, data collection, implementation and benefit realization.
- Act as a change agent and ensure continuous improvement activity is being communicated, understood, and supported within the organization.
- Apply effective controls, ensuring process improvements are sustained.
- Coach and communicate with others as needed, for successful and timely completion of assigned work.
- Assist in designing new procedures and methods for processes, by utilizing lean methodology and tools.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in both corporate and manufacturing environments.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of training
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
Certification / Licensure
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of successful execution of continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma efforts.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- High aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking
- Highly organized, motivated to successfully meet or beat deadlines, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Master's degree.
Certification / Licensure
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Experience facilitating multi-day kaizen events & workshops with cross-functional teams ranging from manufacturing floor to executive leaders.
