Description
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment including but not limited to Excavators (Material Handler), bulldozers, skid steers, loaders.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Conduct daily routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Participate in routine maintenance (such as greasing, etc.) and ensure heavy equipment is properly maintained.
- Work with other employees to complete task safely, efficiently and effectively.
- Previous experience unloading coal barges is preferred.
- Previous experience operating an excavator is required.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is required.
- Must have strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of the equipment to perform routine inspections.
- MSHA experience is preferred but not required.
