Position Highlights:
Position:Patient Care Technician- Resource
Location:Glenbrook Hospital
Full Time/Part Time:Resource, as needed;
48 hours/6week schedule and 24 weekend hours/6week schedule
Hours:Hours will be scheduled per department need(days, evenings, nights)
Required Travel:Travel to Highland Park Hospital as needed

What you will need:
Current BLS/CPR certification required (for the Healthcare Provider).
Nursing Assistant Certification by the State of Illinois and in good standing on the IDPH healthcare worker registry. Nursing assistants who have not completed an approved certified nursing assistant training program, hired prior to Jan 1, 2009, will be grandfathered into the PCT role.
or Student Nurse who has completed first Med/Surge clinical
or Medical Assistant Certification
or EMT-B / Paramedic Training

What you will do:
Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan
Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
