Job Title: Collections (Collections Analyst)
Department: Credit
Reports To: Assistant Mgr., Credit

DESCRIPTION: The Collections Analyst will perform the role of a customer service and customer retention. They will work to support both the credit and collections area and support the entire MAC Funding team administratively. They will focus primarily on reconciling account delinquencies and resolve credit issues with customers and dealers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Call on delinquent loan accounts according to priority and resolve payment delays.
Perform Customer service duties including answering customer questions and resolving issues.
Provide recommendations to cure delinquencies.
Prepare monthly portfolio reports using excel and our loan database.
Preparation of monthly collections and aging reports for communication to sales and management.
Account analysis and review for account follow up.
Terminate UCC and PPSA finance agreement filings.
Support team with administrative tasks such as document scanning, statement delivery and filing.
Maintaining and coordinating efforts with internal personnel to resolve customer issues.
Generate reports as needed and act as back up for the Mexico Accounts.
May act as backup for team on new account set up, funding, and other tasks.
Provide support, direction & training as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Proficient in MS Office Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years of work experience as a Collections Assistant/Analyst
Bilingual English and Spanish, highly desirable
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job operates mainly indoors but exposed to generally consistent conditions, such as regulated air conditioning and heating. This job also works near a machinery showroom, which may generate some noises such as objects hitting the floor and creating a sound, forklift movement and occasional other short term noises.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Repetitive use of the hands and typing are required. Requires frequent lifting of 1-10 pounds and occasional 11-25 pounds with infrequent lifting of 25 pounds or more.
