Target hiring range for this position will be between $70,017 to $97,189 yearly. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary: 

The Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid directs activities related to the recruitment, evaluation, and yield of candidates to the Law School’s JD programs. The role requires significant travel and work on evenings and weekends during the peak recruitment and yield management seasons. The incumbent evaluates and provides application recommendations; conducts admissions presentations; serves as the primary communications officer and co-leads the student recruitment process. The Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid reports to the Director and works closely with the Assistant and Associate Deans on multiple admissions projects.  The role also collaborates with admissions colleagues within operational matters as well as recruitment and yield management objectives.

 

Specific Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct substantive file review for approximately 1,500 JD applications each cycle.
  • Provide evaluation on application materials and provide recommendation on application decision. 
  • Serve as a member of the Admissions Committee.
  • Assist with query and report running in alignment with file movement.
  • Serve as the department’s communications officer; author and edit admissions webpages and portals.
