Job Description

Facilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank. Maintains and promotes a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations. This role will make credit decisions and recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policies & Procedures.

+ Minimizes BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures with respect to lending decisions.

+ Analyzes financial information, tax returns, credit bureau reports and other related materials

+ Facilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank.

+ With minimal oversight, perform financial covenant compliance calculations within assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan agreement

+ With minimal oversight, perform collateral margining verification calculations to determine borrowing base availability

+ Make credit decisions and/or recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policies and Procedures

+ Acts timely, efficiently and independently, taking ownership of client satisfaction.

+ Partners with internal stakeholders for accurate, detailed client information.

+ Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

+ Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.

+ Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

+ Works mostly independently.

+ Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications:

+ Typically, between 2 – 3 years of relevant experience and/or post-secondary degree in related field of study or an acceptable combination of education and experience

+ BMO Credit Qualification within one-year of assignment

+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the Internet.

+ Ability to work under limited supervision.

+ Basic understanding of risk management concepts

+ Ability to learn and adapt quickly.

+ Verbal & written communication skills – In-depth.

+ Collaboration & team skills – In-depth.

+ Analytical and problem solving skills – In-depth.

+ Influence skills – In-depth.

Compensation and Benefits:

$52,800.00 – $98,400.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
