Job Summary:
The Innovation Lab Specialist role will support Endeavor Health in assessing and coordinating advancement of cutting-edge technologies within our organization. As an Innovation Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for various aspects of 3D printer maintenance, post-processing of 3D prints, Innovation project scheduling coordination, operational support, supervision and training of work-study students and interns, research support, wet lab assistance, and innovation project pilot implementation.

What you will need:

Minimum Education Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, or related field.

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a 3D printing environment.
Minimum 1 year of project coordination
Minimum 1 year of student/intern mentoring

What you will do:

Printer Maintenance: Ensure all 3D printing equipment is operational, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
3D Print Post-Processing: Clean and finish printed components as per specifications. Ensure quality control standards are met.
Scheduling Coordination: Manage the printing schedule to maximize efficiency and output. Work closely with various departments to prioritize tasks.
Operational Support: Assist in image segmentation and 3D modeling from medical imaging data. Support ongoing research projects with technical expertise.
Precepting: Oversee and mentor interns and work-study students on innovation projects happening in the Simulation and Innovation Lab.
Research Support: Collaborate with research teams to innovate and refine various new technologies and applications within the innovation lab
Wet Lab Support: Work directly with the labs surgical simulation team to support external and internal surgical device development and research
Innovation Project Coordination: Support the Endeavor Health Innovations team in assessing, coordinating and supporting pilot implementation of new technologies within our care spaces.

Environment
Environment: Lab setting with exposure to various 3D printers and post-processing chemicals.

Physical Demands (Select one)
Prolonged sitting/standing. Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. Considerable reaching/stooping/bending. Manual dexterity and ability to move quickly.

Technical Skills:
-A personal computer with a variety of software, copy machine, fax, and other standard office equipment.
-Proficient in using various 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS). Utilization of Solidworks, GrabCad, and Materialize
