Job Description

*Position:Manager Anesthesia Support Services Evanston
*Location:EvanstonHospital
*Full Time/Part Time:Full-time
*Hours:Days
*Required Travel:Floating to other Endeavor sites as needed

What you will need:
*Education:Graduate of Bachelor's Degree

What you will do:
Ensures that anesthesia support services throughout the hospitals, inclusive in the North Region, maintain operation due to supply shortages or equipment failure. North Region Hospitals: Evanston Hospital, Swedish Hospital, Skokie Hosptial, Highland Park Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital and Northwest Community Hospital.
Acts as the first line of connection between providers and technicians.
Oversees schedules created by supervisors for all anesthesia technicians.
Verifies the daily work schedules according to staffing needs.
Completes daily schedule when required due to absences and additional volume needs.
Completes and conducts annual and probationary performance evaluations in conjunction with site supervisors for all technicians.
Provides staff training and contributes to the development of the training program.
Performs competency testing for turnovers, cart preparation, equipment processing, stocking of workroom, and off-site requirements.
Approves all vacation and time off requests.
Maintains all records concerning employee time and attendance.
Evaluate new equipment for function and cost and recommend acquisition.
Coordinates manufacturer in-services for both the department and the anesthesia support group for new and upgraded items.
Determines schedule for placement of new equipment into daily operations and communicates relevant information to the Department.
Supervises the repair and maintenance of all anesthesia equipment and instruments.
Secures maintenance contracts with manufacturers for equipment and instruments and maintains equipment and instruments according to manufacturer's recommendations.
Supervises organization of support spaces, restocking work areas, supplies and set-up assistance for providers.
Monitors productivity, supplies, and equipment as it relates to budget.
Completes daily, ongoing surveillance of all operating rooms and off-site anesthetizing locations, as well as technicians throughout the organization.
Completes and organizes proficiency testing, competency training, and POC testing.
Handles all staff related responsibilities such as but not limited to promotions, corrective actions, and terminations.
