The Balance Sheet Modeling & Liquidity Stress Testing Analyst will be responsible for helping drive the development, implementation and maintenance of liquidity stress testing models and framework. The successful candidate will be a member of the Asset and Liability Management team and help lead the development and maintenance of the enterprise liquidity stress testing framework.

Ideally, the prospective candidate will have experience with Liquidity Stress Testing production and calibrating assumption based on regulatory and internally required scenarios. Programming knowledge especially Python, working knowledge of relational databases, good understanding of liquidity risk management, liquidity risk framework, risk identification, risk measurement approaches. The prospective candidate should have a working knowledge of the three lines of defense and ideally experience working closely with second line risk management, model validation and third line internal audit groups.

Duties

  • The individual will be member of the Asset Liability Management team, supporting modeling and the development and enhancement of the firm's liquidity stress models.
  • Help drive the development and maintenance of stress testing model/python engine, scenarios and methodologies that cover idiosyncratic, market, combined risk, and operational risk events.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the Liquidity Stress Testing engine.
  • Partner with Asset Liability Management Team, Liquidity Stress Testing team, business line subject matter experts, Model Validation, and risk management to ensure sound assumptions are developed that covers all products and external market considerations for business as usual to resolution.
  • Aim for continuous improvement with respect to business unit and Treasury's modeling, ongoing monitoring to increase accuracy of models through back testing and variance analysis.
  • Have working knowledge of critical operations, including FMU and CSD operations and potential liquidity impacts.
  • Communicate modeling, financial issues in a clear and concise manner to senior management, internal oversight groups, and external regulators.
  • Lead the development of robust documentation to support major assumptions, models used in liquidity stress testing, and Treasury.
  • Manage internal and external qualitative risk measures, stress testing,



Qualifications

  • 5-7 year's work prior liquidity risk management experience working in a financial institution, regulatory agency, consulting firm, or related field.
  • A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, Engineering or other quantitative field.
  • Familiarity with Asset Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, and Funds Transfer Pricing.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, critical thinking, investigative problem-solving and decision-making talents.
