Job Description
+ This supervisor will report to the Director of Internships
+ The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring supervision or overseeing supervision for up to ten interns in Waukegan, Grayslake, Lake County.
+ They will serve as the primary contact for intern supervisors in Waukegan, and Grayslake.
+ Possesses strong clinical skills, ability to think critically and analytically and is a strong analytical person
+ A successful candidate will have a passion to help and mentor others, have advanced team building skills and be an excellent collaborator.
+ This would be an organized individual that is able to balance clinical and administrative tasks and be adaptable in the face of change and growth
+ Prior experience in community mental health setting a plus. Knowledge of Medicaid preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Ensure that up to ten interns receive weekly individual supervision and supportive training to
complete the administrative and clinical expectations.
+ To facilitate at least one weekly virtual clinical intern supervision group and if necessary, an
administrative group.
+ To collaborate with universities to complete weekly Tevera, Sonia, or other tracking tools and evaluations for interns
+ Work to effectively ensure interns understand Josselyn policies and procedures.
+ Monitor intern cases to see that notes and administrative duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner to support interns when problems arise with tools to improve their difficulties
+ Monitor interns’ clinical work to see that they are engaging, retaining, and addressing clinical
challenges when they arise
+ Supporting interns with skills to recognize obstacles and provide tools to help them address problems
+ Support the Director of Internships with tasks to support the internship program’s advancement
+ Thirty percent direct service productivity and caseload of 10-15 clients after 4 months
onboarding period.
Organizational Responsibilities:
+ Help onboard interns
+ Train staff in CIS functionality and be a resource when issues arise
+ Support the development of internal competency measurement scales to address clinical skills
and competencies
+ Coordinate with HR pipeline coordinator, IT, and facilities to ensure interns have space and tools
to work and are secure in whatever on-site coordination issues that come up
+ Responsible for day-to-day operations including case assignments, and collaborating with the
clinical directors, intake, psychiatry, and billing team; and replying to inquiries about the
internship program
+ Prepared to be “on call” as the primary back up supervisor when intern supervisors are on leave
+ Represent Josselyn to university partners with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications:
+ Licensed for independent clinical practice in the State of Illinois in mental health or related field.
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive and successful clinical supervision experience preferable in
an outpatient mental health setting
+ Demonstrated administrative, supervisory, and organizational skills
+ Ability to think critically and analytically and to problem solve in both short- and long-term
contexts
+ Knowledge of best practices in clinical counseling in mental health
