As a Business Architect, you will support Oracle North American Application Sales to inspire business transformation by aligning an organization’s industry-specific strategic objectives with its operating model, process and capabilities. Business Architects help Oracle clients visualize their journey from where they are today to what is possible in the future. Business Architects help Oracle clients understand the connections and complexities that exist both within an organization, and within an organization’s surrounding ecosystem of suppliers, partners and providers. They work to disassemble opportunities for transformation into phased, value-based recommendations. Business Architects possess the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, connect this to organizational strategy and frame it in simple, compelling ways. Key deliverables include architecture artifacts that link an organization’s strategic objectives with its operating model, process and capabilities.

Business Architects engage with Oracle’s most strategic clients to provide thought leadership, and provide recommendations on process, capability, and technology changes to enable the realization of client strategy. This is accomplished by aligning the strategic objectives of clients with actionable roadmaps for the adoption of new Oracle business applications and technology solutions. Business Architects are trusted advisors, and engage, collaborate and partner with internal senior leaders, solution engineering, sales and development, to execute on long and short term account strategies. They are also expected to produce consistent and high quality architectural deliverables to clients leveraging Oracle’s Architecture Framework. The Business Architect must exude strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and executive presence. Lastly, it is expected that the Business Architect invests heavily in corporate citizenship and is a role model for contributing to architecture and non-architecture Oracle communities.

The ideal candidate must be dynamic, passionate, self-motivated, confident in working with senior leaders and comfortable in a matrix organization. They should have Significant C-level presentation expertise. They need to be able to gain the trust and confidence of the communities they serve, be able to drive results, and truly make a difference to those communities.

To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate:

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 10+ years of experience in architect or senior engineering roles with enterprise-scale design responsibilities.

+ Large enterprise experience in a matrixed environment.

+ Strategic and outcome-based mindset.

+ Knowledge of architectural approaches.

+ Significant experience in cloud solutions, preferably Oracle Cloud solutions.

+ Extensive background in working with business partners.

+ Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others.

+ Proven presentation, communication and facilitation skills with a senior audience.

+ Demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals and deliver on commitments.

Responsibilities

Facilitates collaborative architecture development sessions with customer, IT and/or LOB executives. Analyzes and creates architecture models based on continuous feedback loop with key customer personnel. Implements and guides customer architecture teams in using cloud adoption frameworks, governance and architecture process. Leverages existing industry and Oracle reference architectures and utilizes specialty architecture knowledge. Influences and recommends architecture solutions and roadmaps to customer IT and/or LOB executives. Understand IT challenges and current state, influence IT strategy, suggest suitable Oracle products and services, collaborate on architecture development and future state of roadmap, collaborate with implementers on transition plan. Influence customers towards a recommended business/IT architecture anchored by Oracle solutions articulating its value to the customer.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $58.56 to $95.91 per hour; from $121,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
