HealthFitness is looking for a substitute Health Fitness Professional to join the team at our client site in North Chicago (Lake County), IL.
**We are seeking coverage for 8-9 weeks starting approximately August 1 through September 27. 40 hours/wk, M-F, between hours of 5a-7:30p.
What you will be doing:
In this role, you will make a direct impact on the health and well-being of our members through the implementation and delivery of health and fitness improvement programs and services, fitness center promotions and outreach activities. You will monitor the fitness floor and support the front desk. You may provide individual and group exercise instruction, designing individualized programs to meet the members’ interests, abilities and goals. Other duties as-needed/assigned.
What you bring with you:
+ Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, etc.) OR the equivalent combination of education, industry experience and current certification(s) from a HealthFitness approved provider.
+ Current Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute. Note: certification must have an in-person component and not 100% online/OSHA compliant)
+ Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
Compensation: $15-20/hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional commission opportunities available for someone with a Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider.
