Job Description
CDW LLC seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy to be responsible for strategy development and execution. This role plays an integral role in CDW’s long-term strategic growth agenda to maximize shareholder return. Specific duties include:
- Lead or support strategic projects that drive profitable growth, create operational leverage, increase asset efficiency and/or improve the end-user experience.
- Utilize effective models, methodologies and problem-solving skills for identifying opportunities that will deliver against CDW’s objectives.
- Leverage a data-driven approach for vetting opportunities, establishing key metrics, setting goals and measuring impact.
- Synthesize complex content and data analysis to convey insights that support strategic decision making and enable creation of executable business plans.
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate progress and insights to stakeholders across the company including CDW’s Executive Committee.
- Utilize a variety of technologies including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI) for effective communication and messaging.
- Work collaboratively with key business and technology stakeholders to develop strategies, build implementation plans, test and execute.
- Provide coaching and guidance to project team members to ensure the collective team is working effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
- Navigate across a matrixed organization, ensuring the right stakeholders are consulted and informed throughout projects.
- Build and maintain strategic project roadmaps encompassing all milestones to achieve short- and longer-term goals; regularly track progress against the roadmap to adjust strategy as needed.
- Plan and facilitate weekly problem-solving sessions bringing all relevant stakeholders to solve various ongoing project roadblocks and identify new project opportunities.
- Build evergreen document templates, tracking, and other efficiency tools used regularly across multiple departments.
- Lead primary information gathering efforts in the form of surveys, focus groups, or on one-on-one interviews with internal stakeholders from various departments including but not limited to sales, operations, technology and digital.
- Some meetings are required to be in person with IL based coworkers.
- Leverage past experiences to be seen as an internal consultant for the business partners in order to help solve complex internal challenges.
- Assist business leads in seeing the value realization of investments and leverage past ownership of a P&L to assist with financial return on investment strategy.
The job is based out of CDW’s Chicago, IL office and the employee must be in the office at least 3 days per week. National travel up to 10% also required.
