Job Description
Sr. Software Infrastructure/Dev Ops Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Responsible for reliability and uptime of manufacturing systems including Windows and Linux servers, VMware, AWS, IoT Devices, and others. Troubleshoot issues with network connectivity, firewalls, switches, DNS, VLANs and others. Participate in Incident Response at all levels. Collaborate with remote and on-site team members across the company to build and maintain positive, productive relationships. Consult in architectural discussions and decisions, initial roll out plans, and capacity planning and forecasting. Perform service for new technology to be rolled out to identify areas to streamline or automate. Work on SRE, DevOps, CI/CD, and Automation solutions with an eye toward using code and software to solve problems and work in the facility including cabling, equipment replacement and the use of equipment such as lifts.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years [or a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent as stated above and 5 years] of experience in any occupation as systems engineer, software engineer, or related. Experience must include working with AWS, Cloud Technology, Kubernetes, Code Development, Automation, Systems Administration, and Networking; Software development, SRE, and DevOps; Ansible, Docker, and Prometheus; Utilizing Grafana and Python; Performing unit testing and integration testing; and Robot Framework for regression testing and locust for load testing.
