ENERCON serves several markets throughout the energy sector, including data centers, mission critical facilities, the federal government, industrial, nuclear power, power delivery, grid infrastructure, power generation, and renewable energy.
Responsibilities
Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking an Electrical Wiring Designer for our Naperville, IL location.
Perform detail wiring for instrumentation and controls systems
Perform walk-downs to document as-built wiring configuration
Develop wiring diagrams
Develop change packages to client's cable & raceway database
Perform onsite implementation support of modifications being installed and process changes in accordance with client procedures
Confer with engineers and other drafters for design concept interpretation
Work directly with Engineering to interpret drawing markups for development or revision of the product
Modify and revises drawings as necessary to ensure complete accuracy
Performing Plant Walkdowns at a Nuclear Power Plant and generate walkdown reports
Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives
Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product
Support engineers with any changes to drawings
Meet applied time goals set for position/disciplines
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience OR Associates Degree in Computer-aided Design or Engineering or Technical and 4 years' experience
Must be proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation
Sufficient written and verbal communication skills
Thorough attention to detail of spelling/grammar, clarity, and organization
Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment
Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
