Job Description

IL0132 - Developer 2, R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, Warrenville, IL. Design and manage projects including change management, business, and client engagement/support, and 24x7 production support. Develop and participate in full life cycle of new applications including documentation, coding, testing and debugging of applications. Analyzing data and developing applications that improves efficiency of business operations. Conduct Unit, Integration, and System level testing. Perform quality assurance and defect resolution. Develop and Execute application test plans. Code promotion and validation. Prepare project and application documentation. Work directly with internal and external clients to gather business requirements for new projects or enhancements to existing projects. Analyze code to understand process flow and identify processing improvements. Resolve moderately to complex programming problems with immediate (short term) and long-term solutions.

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle which includes Analysis, Design, Develop, Test, and Document.

 

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following:

 

  • PERL, Python and SVN (Subversion) Version Control;
  • Powerstream;
  • Modifying and creating print applications from various input formats including raw data, AFP and, PDF;
  • Quality assurance tool such as DocBridge;
  • Defect resolution;
  • OpenText Exstream (Dialogue) or Quadient Inspire (GMC) composition; and
  • Linux operating system.

The pay range for this role is $81,744 to $111,400 / year. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
