Job Description

Investment Analysts are responsible for aggregating, assessing, reconciling, and cleaning daily databases that are loaded into the Portfolio Management Platform and elements of the Firm’s webpage, and producing and/or validating all internally generated periodic investment reports, presentations, Registered Investment Company webpages and associated reports or datasets, investor letters, and due diligence questionnaires. Responsible for producing and validating daily private whole loan valuation reconciliation reports, unique investment analyses that support real-time portfolio management activities, periodic proxy voting reports, institutional ownership reports, and datasets or reports that support the Firm’s regulatory reporting processes. Responsible for executing and tracking proxy voting, and voluntary corporate action elections as directed by the Portfolio Managers, producing reports using professional graphic design software, and maintaining and supporting external database feeds to support the Firm’s distribution efforts. Apply experience in reviewing, understanding, and modeling information from regulatory filings and Registered Investment Company marketing and webpage datasets and apply experience in precisely capturing, modeling, and communicating aspects of these reports.  Apply experience reviewing and interpreting financial statements, reconciliation reports, portfolio risk reports, fact sheets, market commentary, investor letters, and regulatory and non-regulatory reports and precisely capturing, modeling, and communicating aspects of these reports in writing and for presentations.  Apply experience in leveraging a multitude of technologies including Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic code integrations with Excel (“macros"), PowerPoint, Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and Adobe InDesign. Apply experience in financial markets, the regulations and Firm-specific implications of regulations set forth by the Investment Act of 1940 and relevant Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations. Contextualize work product and apply demonstrative knowledge of and experience in employing core financial mathematics and markets theory. Apply  experience with arbitrage strategies, long-short strategies, fund-of-funds strategies and traditional investment strategies, and experience with securities, asset classes and asset structures including hedge funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds, open-end mutual funds, interval funds, business development companies, stocks, special purpose acquisition companies, master limited partnerships, warrants, rights, preferred shares, bonds, options, futures, swaps and tender option bond trusts.
