Full Time Nanny Job description:
Our family is looking for a trustworthy, reliable, full time nanny. We have four children, ages 1, 2, 6 and 9 years old.
Education: - Secondary/high school - Early childhood class or training
Responsibilities: - Provide attentive and nurturing care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times - Engage in age-appropriate activities and play with the children to promote their physical, social, and cognitive development - Prepare meals and snacks for the children, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences - Assist with light housekeeping duties related to the children's care, such as laundry, tidying up play areas and washing dishes - Follow established routines and schedules for naps, meals, and activities - Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise
Qualifications: - Previous experience in infant care, toddler care, babysitting, or daycare settings is preferred - Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities - Ability to create a safe and stimulating environment for children - Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents effectively, as well as speak, read and write in English (required)- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children - Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for the children
Work days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: $32,400 per year
Location: Family’s house, in Chicago, IL (Ravenswood neighborhood)
Note: CPR certification and First Aid training are highly desirable but not required.
