The Sales Support Specialist provides efficient and timely administrative support for the Midwest sales region, including the Directors of Sales and GATX customers. This position also leads the planning and coordination of customer, industry and regional events as required!

 


Responsibilities

 

Works with region's Sales Directors and Vice President to provide administrative support for various lease transactions, including the assignment and renewal of cars. Specific activities include the distribution of assignment proposal letters and binding renewal letters.
Leads the facilitation of internal inquiries for new business (using Salesforce or an equivalent CRM software) and ensures that all relevant information is accurate and conveyed in an expeditious manner.
Accurately records and reports all sales activity in the region on a weekly and monthly basis with input from Directors of Sales and the Vice President.
Plans, organizes and coordinates customer events including, but not limited to, the Chicago Traffic Club, MARS Events, Customer Holiday Dinners, and other customer events.
Plans and organizes internal meetings and events as requested.
Answers routine customer inquiries regarding leased fleets as well as products and services offered, and manages and maintains additional sales data as needed.

 


Qualifications

 

High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
Minimum 3 years administrative experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Some experience with Salesforce, DocuSign and Microsoft Teams.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing event budgets.
Occasional travel for event planning (setup and administration) is required.
