We are providing an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the transport industry. This role is based in HOMEWOOD, Illinois, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be operating in a high-volume contact center environment, focusing on delivering exceptional service to employees and leaders. The shift schedule is 7:00am – 7:00pm, 3 days on, 3 days off, 365-days per year, which includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

- Act as an expert in policy interpretation and applications, specifically related to absence management.

- Handle the intake of all leave and absence requests promptly and professionally.

- Efficiently categorize calls into various medical and non-medical streams.

- Advise employees of absence guidelines and potential violations.

- Make recommendations on absence policy violation actions and communicate with supervisors.

- Handle medical-related absence requests for leave management.

- Respond to employee and leader absence requests and inquiries in a timely manner.

- Use case management software to track employee absences, compliance, and violations.

- Log all calls and escalate issues accordingly.

- Maintain a high level of diplomacy, privacy, and confidentiality.

Skills:

- Proficiency in Data Entry

- Familiarity with Switchboard – Phones 1 – 10 Lines

- Ability to Assist Customers

- Experience in Call Center Customer Service

- Knowledge of Customer Account and Customer Invoices

- Familiarity with FMLA, Family Medical Leave, and Leave Administration

Requirements

- Proficiency in Data Entry tasks is required

- Experience with Switchboard – Phones 1 – 10 Lines

- Demonstrated ability to assist customers effectively

- Previous experience in a Call Center Customer Service role

- Familiarity with handling Customer Accounts

- Knowledge in managing Customer Invoices

- Understanding of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave Administration

- Previous experience in handling Family Medical Leave processes

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- High school diploma or equivalent education level required

- Must be able to work the schedule of 7:00am – 7:00pm, 3 days on, 3 days off, 365-days per year, which includes weekends and holidays.
