Job Description
Material Analysts with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Support service and accessories material planning to drive on-time material deliveries to service centers and other customer sites from Rivian’s electric vehicle manufacturing plant. Support strong cross-functional collaboration, customer relationship management to communicate effectively, and an analytical approach to ensure part availability to incoming service backorders, coordinate outbound logistics quick turn analysis on exceptions. Work with Rivian supply chain, production processes, warehouse operations, and world-class service network. Drive E2E backorder fulfillment from the plant to all service centers, collision centers and remanufacturing locations. Evaluate and analyze incoming backorders from service to validate correct materials are being ordered. Coordinate and request cycle counts for plant when applicable. Act as the single point of contact between production and service material planning to analyze and advise on material availability balancing the needs of production and service needs. Work heavily with cross functional teams in multi-system platforms to resolve constraints/part discrepancies. Coordinate with the plant schedulers to ensure service allocation and shipment of materials to subcontractors on ‘make’ finished goods. Improve and manage dashboards to help Commercial Operations manage the KPIs related to backorders. Collaborate with material handling and logistics to drive efficient outbound from the plant to several customer sites. Escalate material availability with leadership on constrained parts from suppliers to drive the right customer experience and fulfilment. Participate in daily meetings and provide backorder fulfilment status to service leadership. Manage incoming reworks and provide clear status of rate and flow of finished items closely coordinating with plant quality and service planning.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field and one year of experience in any occupation involving material planning, process engineering, or related. Experience must include working with SAP; ERP/MRP focusing on product lifecycle management, EDI communications, bills of material, supply chain operations, and procure to pay processes; Production planning and project management; and perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
