Job Description
Test Guidewire-based applications used by Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance carriers. Work on the implementation of core PolicyCenter 10.0 and Guidewire Intrasuite integrations. Responsible for performance testing PolicyCenter’s critical business transactions, ClaimCenter 9.0, BillingCenter 8.0, and PolicyCenter 10.0 integrations and also other 3rd party EDGE API integrations. Develop performance test scripts using CA BlazeMeter. create single user, baseline, and load and stress test scenarios. Develop the eTAF test automation framework using VB scripting, work on the development of test scripts using UFT eTAF framework built for PC 10.0 implementation. Responsible for articulating the Guidewire performance test requirements into a test strategy and test plans considering factors like dependencies, risks, and limitations. Use Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud EC2 service provided by BlazeMeter to generate the user load on the application under test. Develop the load distribution strategy by estimating the expected usage of critical PolicyCenter transactions. Perform REST Web services testing and work on the API automation script development using the SOAP UI tool. Perform DB testing through Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio for verifying the data integrity during the migration to the DataHub/InfoCenter from legacy DB. Create test cases, perform requirement traceability and generate reports using test management tool QTest and JIRA. Integrate the performance test scripts with the Jenkins CICD process to verify the performance KPI’s on every weekly build. Monitor the application server KPI’s during performance test execution using internal application monitoring tool and Splunk logging. Perform various tests such as positive and negative to check business functionality. Develop test scripts on Qtest tool and validate the Business and Functional aspect using Integration testing concepts. Involved in all phases of new development, maintenance, upgrade, conversion, migration of Guidewire applications. Analyze Integration development documents and business requirements and specifications related to the project. Convert Function requirements to system-related specifications using Technical analysis. Prepare, execute, and review test plans and test scripts. Maintain a full suite of automated test scripts using testing tools. Responsible for testing PolicyCenter’s critical business transactions, Premium Audit Systems, Survey Ordering System, Comparative Rater, ImageRight Desktop 6.4 and PolicyCenter 10.0 integrations, and also other 3rd party EDGE API integrations. Conduct testing using QTest to conduct backend testing and raise defects on Jira. Use JIRA for updating the status of all the Test Cases & Test Scripts that are executed during the testing process. Prepare Test Reports and keep track of defects using the bug tracking system (JIRA). Knowledge of the Property and Casualty Insurance domain. Follow Agile testing methodologies to produce high-quality software products for customers and attend agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-up, and retrospective. Ensure that impediments and timelines for all the business intents are discussed.
