We are seeking a full-time Companion Animal Nutritionist for Trouw Nutrition USA, LLC-Companion Animal based in Highland, IL. This role ensures all products are properly formulated, labeled and in compliance with applicable regulations that meet customer and Trouw Nutrition USA needs.

About The Role: Driving Nutritional Excellence
Must have experience with each of the following:
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
- Must have Master’s degree or equivalent in Animal Nutrition, Animal Biosciences, or a related field and 3 years of experience in companion animal nutrition at a feed/pet food company. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s degree program
Must also have experience with each of the following:
- Applying knowledge of formulation; nutritional feed ingredients and their characteristics; and blending and sequencing of feed ingredients to develop and improve companion animal nutrition products
- Knowledge of pet food labelling and export regulations
- Performing work using the following tools/technologies: Brill formulation software, Infor M3 ERP system. Knowledge and experience with NIR technology
- Exposure to product management, sales, marketing, supply chain, quality assurance and/or companion animal or monogastric feed production
- Knowledge of companion animal nutrition idiosyncrasies
- Domestic travel 5% of time to attend sales meetings and go on visits to customers and manufacturing sites.
