Job Responsibilities:
As a Donor Relations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our fundraising efforts and donor stewardship. Your key responsibilities will include:
Annual Christmas Campaign Management: Coordinate and manage our annual Christmas campaign and other fundraising activities to ensure we meet our financial goals.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Build and maintain relationships with donors through regular communication, meetings, and personalized stewardship.
Corporate Gift Solicitation: Assist in identifying and soliciting corporate gifts.
Planned Giving Support: Work closely with donors and their advisors to facilitate legacy giving, assisting in the solicitation and securing of planned gifts.
Grant Applications: Assist with research and writing of compelling grant applications to secure essential funding.
Representation: Represent The Salvation Army at board and community meetings, effectively communicating our mission and the impact of donor support.
Donor Recognition and Retention: Develop and implement strategies to enhance donor loyalty and engagement.
Data Management: Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising progress using SalesForce.
Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations for board members, management, conferences, groups, and donors as needed.
What Are We Looking For?
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a similar role.
Proven track record of successful fundraising and donor stewardship.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in using SalesForm (or other CRM software) and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position Details & Perks:
Pay starting at $44,045.31 - commensurate with education and/or experience

The Quincy Area Command serves Adams, Pike and Brown counties in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri as well as transients who have come to our community and find themselves in a homeless situation. It is the goal of our program to equip our residents with the knowledge and life skills development needed to find employment and suitable, affordable housing that they might become self-sufficient individuals.

The Emergency Shelter can accommodate up to 20 people with rooms dedicated to single men and women as well as families. The building also includes our Family Services programs and Food Pantry/Breadline.
