As a Senior Design Manager, you will…
+ Leadership – You will be responsible for setting goals, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.
+ Planning and Execution - You will be responsible for developing strategic and operational plans for the studio, managing execution, and measuring results.You will plan and manage the studio to ensure programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
+ Business Requirements - You will manage relationships with consultants to ensure compliance of service standards.Provide resources and prioritization to the Design Teams for effective work flow.Review schematic designs and provide design direction or resolve issues directly with cross functional leadership.
+ Partner Development & Team Building – You will provide coaching, direction, and leadership support.You participate in performance calibrations and succession planning for design teams and act as a key member of the store design leadership team.
+ Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
We’d love to hear from people with:
+ Progressive experience in retail, hospitality or restaurant design or development organization including management of construction drawings, 6-10 years
+ Project leadership in a cross-functional environment, 6-10 years
+ Experience leading others including outside architectural, MEP, and other design consultants, 5+ years
+ Annual financial management, in-depth portfolio analytics, and business case development, 6-10 years

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
