As a Technical Architect at Echo Global Logistics, you will be responsible for architecting and designing cross-functional solutions that are highly impactful to the enterprise. Your role will include tackling tough problems for the organization by decomposing challenges, crafting a technical approach that best addresses those challenges, and working with others to implement the solutions. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop a working understanding of Echo's business and the products that are part of its current portfolio, as well as the product and technical roadmaps
Understand current and proposed product capabilities and functions, and how they impact Echo's business
Decompose prospective products and features into associated technical components (containers, data stores, events/streams, API endpoints, dependencies, underlying platform components, etc...) and produce architectural documentation detailing the interactions between those components
Lead knowledge sharing sessions with project resources and other stakeholders to ensure an understanding of the proposed technical architecture
Lead hands-on development efforts of solutions within and across various cross-functional teams
Proactively identify and document key problems/concerns within and between application suites
Collaboration and engagement across the relevant constituencies to build and achieve consensus on architectural decisions
Identify, document, communicate, track, and solution relevant architectural risks, issues, action items, and dependencies throughout the design, execution, and support processes associated with a given project/initiative
Conduct implementation reviews and oversee/evaluate results of integration/systems testing to ensure compliance with the proposed solution architecture and document any necessary drift from the planned design
Work with senior leadership to identify technical areas of opportunity and incorporate those into the organization's technical roadmap Required Skills:
BA or BS, preferably in computer science, engineering, or science/technology-based discipline OR equivalent work experience
Effective and professional communication skills (both verbal and written) across technical, business, and executive audiences
8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in the implementation, support, and design of complex high-volume software systems
Expertise with C#/.NET Core applications
Experience with front-end architecture and React/Angular applications
Experience working with both front and back-end technologies, architecture, and patterns with extensive expertise in one ormore languages
Experience with enterprise security best practices and design, including API security design, OWASP and accessmanagement
Experience working with cloud-based software architecture solutions and DevOps best practices
Experience with legacy integrations and modernization/digitalization of legacy systems
Experience designing and developing event-driven architectural solutions, microservice patterns, and SOA
Expertise in relational and/or NoSQL data persistence
Experienced in formulating roadmap strategies, including providing thought leadership around emerging technologies
Experience working in Agile/Lean/CD environments
Experience mentoring other members of the development team

Preferred Skills:

Cloud certifications - preferably AWS
Experience with mobile architecture

Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.
