Job Description Summary

 

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking an individual for a Tax Analyst position at its corporate headquarters in Rosemont, IL. This role will support the tax department in various aspects of corporate income tax, with a focus on state and local corporate income tax.

 

What Youll Do

  • Assist in the preparation of federal, state and local corporate income and franchise tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly state and local income tax estimated payments and extensions
  • Assemble and organize data including state apportionment and modification data
  • Assist with tax depreciation schedules
  • Assist in responding to state and federal notices
  • Provide support for federal and state income tax audits, including gathering supporting information and documentation
  • Conduct tax research and provide documentation of tax filing positions
  • Assist with various tax related projects, as needed

 

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

  • BS Degree in Accounting; CPA certification or currently pursuing CPA certification preferred
  • 0 -3 years of corporate income tax experience
  • Experience with OneSource tax compliance software and Checkpoint Research software is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
