Brief Description The Director, Education Delivery and Operations is responsible for:

+ Leading the CAP Learning Delivery, Development, Operations and Technology teams, both strategy and day-to-day operations, to deliver innovative and effective learning solutions

+ Set strategic direction for CAP Learning technology solutions including defining and maintaining technology roadmap

+ Acting as a key member of the portfolio strategy development and implementation team, ensuring the portfolio is aligned with CAP enterprise and Learning Strategies

+ Overseeing CAP’s CME accreditation and compliance activities.

+ Staff management and development

Specific Duties Primary duties of the Director, Education Delivery, Operations and Technology: Set Strategic Direction

+ Provide for the overall leadership and strategy surrounding the implementation of learning technologies across the organization, building an enterprise-wide consistency.

+ Develop policies and processes for learning technologies to meet CAP strategic goals.

+ Support Learning Strategy development and execution

+ Align Learning tools and capabilities to the learning strategy

+ Participate in Council on Education meetings 1-2 times per year.

+ Maintain an understanding of emerging trends in the use of instructional technologies, networks, E-learning initiatives and diverse technology platforms used in education delivery.

+ Manage overall Learning Technology budget and forecasts.

Technology Implementation Oversight

+ Create and maintain technology roadmaps governed by both Learning and Member Services and Support strategies, business requirements as well as resource and financial constraints.

+ Oversee implementation of software, enhancements and system integration points.

+ Develop and foster a collaborative working relationship with IS, vendors (internal and external). Direct team managing consultants and vendors for eLearning and learning technology projects.

+ Integrate Learning products with other CAP and 3rd party tools and systems.

Online Course Development

+ Manage the online course development team to support development of online courses, evaluations, assessments and live meeting materials

+ Provide video and audio expertise.

Live education delivery

+ Ensure delivery team plans and executes logistics to support all live events (both workshops and webinars).

+ Optimize processes supporting delivery of live events.

+ Identify ways to leverage technology to enhance live event experiences of members/customers.

Learning operations & customer support oversight

+ Manage relationship with CAP’s learning management system (LMS) vendor – Cadmium, Inc. and ensure maximum utilization of our LMS platform

+ Oversee configuration and release of learning offerings to members and customers.

+ Ensure customer/members and vendor issues are assessed and either mitigated or resolved in a timely fashion.

+ Identify system enhancements to improve member/customer experience or to gain operational efficiencies.

+ Provide support to Customer Contact Center for customer inquiries

+ Represents CAP with external professional bodies, e.g., ACCME, ABP, CMSS

+ Ensure CAP Education Program’s compliance with continuing education standards and guidelines

+ Maintain the College’s ACCME and appropriate state agency accreditation as a continuing education provider through initiation of the application process and renewal and submission of required reports.

Staff management and development

+ As a member of the leadership team, cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees and respect their individual strengths, views, and experiences. Embrace and actively promote an inclusive and equitable work environment.

+ Advise and support VP in management of RU, including implementation of all enterprise initiatives that impact the RU’s culture such as the Diversity Equity and Inclusion, the Employee Engagement Survey and Action Planning, Employee Recognition Program, etc.

+ Ensure appropriate utilization of CAP resources by leading and developing a team of highly motivated and skilled employees and fostering an inclusive environment that encourages individual learning, innovation and professional development.

+ Hire, coach, develop and transition learning technology staff as needed.

+ Facilitate team leadership and staff development process.

+ Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Vice President.

Technical:

+ Experience implementing learning and enterprise management software

+ Working knowledge of both waterfall and agile system development approaches

+ Knowledge of learning authoring applications and compatibility with SCORM and Learning management systems.

Education/Experience Education

+ Minimum Bachelor’s degree, with 10+ years of experience including a minimum of 5 years
