Our customer in the legal industry is looking for a Bankruptcy Docket Specialist, Litigation who is knowledgeable in docketing specifically within bankruptcy.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Available to work overtime
  • Enter data into the firm’s docketing and calendar system eDockets, which is soon moving to Milana.
  • Calculate rule-based bankruptcy deadlines.
  • Generate docket reports and queries as requested by attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries.
  • Communication with a team of 13 other docket specialists
  • Monitor cases with the use of various online resources.
  • Handle all inquiries from attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with service/filing of all court documents and sometimes research when needed.
  • Perform electronic filings in various bankruptcy courts.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Bankruptcy Docketing experience
  • Proficient knowledge of bankruptcy/litigation docketing and calendaring
  • Experience utilizing docketing software (Milana or eDockets)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Knowledge of various court websites, docket searching and document retrieval databases (PACER, Lexis/Nexis, West CourtExpress and Court websites)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Plusses:

  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy e-filing procedures null
