Job Description
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in Bridgeview, Illinois. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating invoices using SAP and VIM software, processing accurate and timely invoices, and maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Validating invoices by comparing date, price, and purchase order number against invoices to get them approved for payment.
- Utilizing an Excel spreadsheet to guide the invoice validation process.
- Processing accurate and timely invoices in accordance with procurement to pay cycle processes and procedures.
- Adjusting invoice amounts, prices, etc. in VIM/SAP as necessary.
- Scanning and entering invoices from paper to digital format into the ERP system, SAP.
- Processing payment of vendor invoices through data entry into an ERP system, ensuring the authorized payment request.
- Overseeing repetitive work with a strong attention to detail.
- Utilizing skills in SAP and basic Excel.
- Entering invoices and document scanning as part of the role. Requirements – Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to accurately enter invoices into the system.
- Experience in document scanning and maintaining digital records.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
