Role Snapshot
Our Senior Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator works on a dynamic team that installs, maintains, and safeguards Database Management System (DBMS) software and databases for WPS individuals and applications. WPS is working on the cutting edge of Microsoft SQL Server, utilizing new versions, tools, and techniques in our environment (currently on Microsoft SQL Server 2022). Our Database Administrator (DBA) assists with database performance and tuning duties and participate on project teams in an agile environment. After-hours production support activities are required for this role.

Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
1 year of related work experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
5 plus years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server troubleshooting techniques and features.
Working competency in the Windows Operating System.
Strong Microsoft SQL Server database configuration and management of instances and databases.
Experience with database and diagnostic monitoring tools.
Familiarity with the configuration and installation of the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS).
Microsoft Technology Associate - Database certification.
PowerShell scripting skills.
Agile Experience.
