Our Project Coordinators have a tireless enthusiasm and drive to develop and practice their project management skills while supporting more senior Project Managers in the delivery of integrated projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    • New to the world of project management, Edelman Project Coordinators will learn and develop key skills focused on project & financial management, team facilitation, and managing client business initiatives. They contribute to ensuring that project deliverables connect with creative intent, meet time specifications and achieve quality goals.
    • Learn how to define deliverables, document assumptions and build estimates from Project Managers or Senior Project Managers by supporting the development of Statements of Work approvals process.
    • Learn how to use project management tools to create and manage project timelines.
    • Support the delivery of project work streams and/or smaller project deliverables with oversight from the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
    • Develop the ability to anticipate the needs of your projects and how to remove barriers to success for the team.
    • Learn the fundamentals of business financials by collecting project financial data and assisting in the tracking of regular budget reporting, and gaining exposure to the forecasting process.
    • Communicate hours, tasks and timelines to team members in order to successfully keep work moving forward.
    • Schedule and attend internal meetings, gather feedback, and take internal meeting notes.
    • Develop an understanding of the Resource Management process by supporting other Project Managers to coordinate internal staff and freelance resources according to established staff plans, and to learn the basics of the established resource management tool.
    • Coordinate project status documentation and share project status on a regular basis to the team(s).
    • Participate in training sessions and shadow more senior Project Managers in order to learn project management basics, team communication skills, and Edelman structure.
    • Balance a sense of urgency with calm and confidence at all times.



Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 2 months at a previous internship or recent graduation
    • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.



Preferred Qualifications:

    • Working or school experience that demonstrates diligence and time management skills
    • Strong passion for project management and integrated programming
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet (or other similar project management tool) is preferred
    • A multi-tasker, with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
